Social networks also bring about a certain form of entertainment. It helps old friends reunite and helps people make friends. Apart from the social bit, is the networking aspect of it. Users can easily make contacts with new users and exchange ideas.

you can set up a bebo or myspace account, although they are nowhere near as good and not as many people have them. there are also other instant messaging things you can download like msn, tinychat and skype - this is probably the best one because you can talk over webcam and make online phone calls to others for free. but an alternative to help you on facebook would be to block game requests and certain posts you don't like from being seen in your news feed.. hope this helps
